Absolutely a must stop! Certainly for me, as I have owned parrots for years. LOL Cute little place, clean, and the girls behind the counter were pleasant and friendly. Lots of choices, and it is pretty expensive. The ice cream is very good. I got a white chocolate raspberry gelato. Aside from not a lot of the raspberry sauce in it, it was VERY good. I had a hard time deciding. I almost bought the one called Parrot Food! :) They also have different flavor ice cream bars to choose from where you can dip them into a sauce of different sorts, and then also dip them into toppings, like fruity pebbles, oreos, and much more! Each thing you choose adds to the cost. If I ever go back to Okoboji, I will definitely go here again!

Great gelato and a fun atmosphere for a cold treat. The gelato by the scoop is good and the dipped popsicles were great too! Cute spot in a cute town!

1st time experiencing the Fozen Parrot in Arnolds Park, IA. Great experience. Very tasty gelato. Reasonable prices. Friendly service and staff. I had the Okoboji Berry Gelato. Full of flavor. Very smooth. Highly recommend stopping by for your gelato treat!

Great ice cream on a stick and very affordable prices. Pick you ice cream base, dip it, top it, and then add a drizzle. I did the Oreos and cream base, dipped it in chocolate hazelnut, topped with crushed Oreos and drizzled with caramel: amazing! 2024 update: they now offer 5-7 different flavors of delicious gelato! Super delicious and fun! Great customer service and they have a rewards program as well.

We discovered this place two years ago because it is right across the street where we stay for an annual family vacation. I don't know what kind of magical voodoo happens in the kitchen to create these frozen treats, but they are the most amazing thing you will ever eat. We stay in Okoboji for a week and we go here for dessert EVERY single night!!! Please make this place a priority on your itinerary if you are staying in the vicinity. We've talked about taking day trips here from Omaha and bringing a cooler to drive some back home. Yes, they are that good! The year long anticipation is unbearable!!! 10⭐

In town for Ragbrai and was craving a cool treat. Frozen Parrot looks to cater to the younger (ie kiddo) crowd, but they also have a gelato bar, and I was able to snag a small bowl of ‘Strawberry Lemon Shortbread’, which was very tasty.
